Cookie is a gentle and loving Labrador mix who is approximately 2.5 years old and weighs 48 lbs. She is a loyal companion with a calm and comforting presence, always happy to be near her people. Cookie gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children, making her a fantastic family dog. While she can be a little shy in new situations, with a little patience and kindness, her trusting and affectionate nature shines through. One of her favorite pastimes is watching the world go by from a window, and she especially enjoys car rides. Cookie was born under a house in freezing temperatures, but she has overcome her tough start and is now ready for a safe, warm, and loving forever home.
Ideal Home
Cookie would thrive in an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. Her new family should have an open mind about the needs of rescued street animals, understanding their need for protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies, would be a great asset.
Ongoing Health
Cookie has been spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Cookie is not yet house-trained. Due to the extensive needs of many rescued animals, house-training is not always feasible before adoption. Patience and consistent reinforcement will be key to her success.

Transportation
Cookie is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. She is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest. A transport fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, covers the service provided by a transport company.
