Rye is a 2-year-old, 56 lb bundle of sunshine, happiness, and goofy charm! This handsome boy, who might be a Lab mix with a hint of Rhodesian, is ready to chase away any blues with his infectious smile and loving snuggles. Rye's greetings are always full of joy and eagerness, and he's quick to learn that a polite sit earns him all the praise. He's affectionate, people-oriented, and happiest when he's close to his favorite humans, whether that's lounging at your feet or leaning in for a kiss.
Ideal Home
Rye would thrive in a home that enjoys playtime, walks, and some structure. While he could do well in an apartment with plenty of exercise and enrichment, a house with a yard would be a dream come true.
Ongoing Health
Rye is a healthy boy and will gain a few more pounds. He has received all his vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple dewormings, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been tested for heartworms.
Training & Support
Rye can get a little jumpy when excited but is quickly learning to sit for praise. He is a bit all over the place on leash but listens well to corrections and loves treats, making him a great candidate for further training. He is social and polite with calm, self-assured dogs, especially females. Rye has been tested and is considered cat-tolerant with a slow introduction. He is very gentle and affectionate with children but will need guidance to learn to contain his excitement around smaller ones.
