Meet Venus! She's a 5-year-old, approximately 45 lb spayed female Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix with a heart full of love to give. Venus is a wonderfully sweet and affectionate girl who will gently rest her head on your lap, gazing at you like you're her whole world. She's calm, people-oriented, and happy to match your energy, whether that means cuddling on the couch or joining you for an outdoor adventure.
Venus enjoys play sessions with other dogs and truly shines during backyard zoomies. She also loves toys and playing with her humans. If there's water involved, Venus is ecstatic! She'll happily splash in a kiddie pool or a stream on a trail. She's also a fantastic car rider, making her the perfect companion for road trips, park visits, or trail days.
Ideal Home
Venus would do best in a home without cats, as she shows a strong interest in chasing them. She might do well in a home with very dog-savvy cats, but a cat-free home is preferred. While she hasn't met young children, her foster believes she could do well in a family with older, respectful kids who understand boundaries. Venus will thrive in a home where she's truly a part of the family, ready for water play, road trips, or simply cuddling up with you at the end of the day.
Ongoing Health
Venus is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking bites of other dogs' meals.
Training & Support
Venus enjoys daily walks and is learning to improve her leash manners, as she can pull sometimes, but she is food motivated and learning quickly. She is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy when left loose in the house.

Transporation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA and is available for meet and greets with local adopters. For those outside Washington, out-of-state adoption is possible once an approved adopter is lined up. Transports run every few weeks, and Venus will be on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
