My name is Akira, but my foster mama lovingly calls me Kira Bean! I'm a sweet, approximately 10-month-old young lady who's fully vetted and ready to find my forever home. I had a bit of a rough start, so I can be quite shy at first. But once I realize you're kind and won't hurt me, I'll be your most devoted best friend! I'm already crate trained, though I much prefer to snuggle with my human at bedtime. I get along well with other dogs and cats. I'm curious about chickens but easily corrected. When it comes to children, I do best with older kids. My foster mom has learned that when things get a bit overwhelming, a quiet space in my crate is just what I need. I'm working on my leash skills and am discovering that I absolutely love going for walks! My favorite way to your heart is through potato chips – they're my ultimate favorite snack!

Ideal Home

I would thrive in a home where I can feel safe and build confidence. Because I can be shy, I do best with older children. When things get too exciting, a quiet space in my crate is appreciated.

Training & Support

I am crate trained and enjoy sleeping near my human. I am learning to walk on a leash and am progressing well. Positive reinforcement, especially with potato chip rewards, will go a long way in helping me continue to learn and grow!
