Meet Savoy Collies. Quality over quantity! We don’t breed often - only when we are looking for our next superstar and loving companion. That means each pup in the litter is raised to do it all – they are kid tested, cat approved, vacuum cleaner savvy and exposed to herding both sheep and ducks…just to name a few of our puppy activities. We are proud to be an AKC Breeder of Merit BRONZE - one of only three collie breeders to earn this advanced level of distinction. Health and temperament. We select only thoroughly genetically tested dogs for breeding that are physically sound and with proper collie temperament. Puppies are clear of PRA, DM, CN and DMS low risk, MDR NN or MN and some will be CEA Normal. All pups will be genetically screened, as well as having a physical eye exam by an ophthalmologist and thorough health check. Puppies’ pedigree is packed with national specialty winners, herding champions and collies with advanced obedience titles. We breed for intelligence and biddability, and carefully nurture these traits. Additionally, both the sire and dam are AKC Champions. Matching the right pup with the right family. We observe the pups carefully from birth so we understand each unique personality. We use Early Neurological Stimulation, Early Scent Introduction and Puppy Culture protocols and temperament test at 49 days. We carefully work with each prospective family to match them with the best pup – be it a reading buddy for a young child or serious competitor.
