Sam (20250221-08)

Sam is a handsome and happy 1-year-old Husky/Lab mix, weighing approximately 60 lbs. This tan and white charmer was found as a stray in northern Manitoba, but he's ready to leave his past behind and find a loving forever family. Sam is a fast learner who adores being part of a family and will thrive with someone who can provide him with structure, play, and plenty of cuddles. He's eager to please and responds well to redirection, already mastering skills like responding to a whistle.

Ideal Home

Sam would love a home with a yard for his outdoor adventures. While he enjoys the company of other dogs and has lived peacefully with a cat, he doesn't require a canine sibling. He can live happily as an only pet, provided he receives enough attention. He can't live in an apartment.

Ongoing Health

Sam is neutered and has no known medical issues.

Training & Support

Sam is still working on some puppy behaviors, including what's appropriate to chew and learning to be polite on leash. He's making progress with his leash walking and is learning to be polite around people and dogs. He is house-trained and is working on crate training, with cheese helping him along. He can be food aggressive with other dogs.
