Mama Winnie is a wonderful mom who has raised her puppies with incredible dedication and love. Now that her pups have all found their forever homes, she's ready to be the center of attention in her own loving family! Winnie is a super friendly girl who adores meeting new people. Without the responsibility of her litter, her affectionate nature truly shines. She loves to be petted, enjoys playing with her toys, and is always happy to snuggle up on the couch. Winnie is a strong chewer, so she'll need plenty of appropriate toys and bones to keep her busy and happy! She also seems to have a mission to protect her yard from squirrels, so a home with a yard would be a dream come true for her.
Ideal Home
Winnie would love a home where she can be the star! She enjoys playing with toys and is happy to snuggle on the couch. As a strong chewer, she'll need plenty of durable toys and bones. Winnie would also thrive in a home with a yard where she can keep an eye on any potential squirrel intruders. While she does well with children, she can get excited and may jump when greeting people, so supervision around very young children is recommended. She appears to get along best with dogs that are similar in size and energy level.
Ongoing Health
Winnie is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm. Her first injection was on 6/30 at Barker Road in Aurora, with subsequent injections scheduled 30 days apart. Strict crate rest may be required during certain periods of her treatment. Once her heartworm treatment is complete and she has recovered, she will be spayed.
Training & Support
Winnie is still working on her leash manners and would benefit from continued training. She does well in her crate overnight and is an early riser, but remains quiet until sunrise.
