Himari

Himari is a 10-month-old female Terrier mix, weighing around 22 lbs and expected to reach about 33 lbs. She was born at the shelter after her pregnant mother was rescued. Himari is a sweet and loving pup who is learning to trust people and can be a little shy with new faces. She's very active and enjoys playtime with her doggy friends.

Ideal Home

Himari would thrive in a home with families who understand the needs of rescue animals and have experience with dog behavior and training. She needs a patient and tolerant family who can help her adjust and learn.

Ongoing Health

Himari has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, and deworming. She is microchipped and has tested negative for heartworm. She receives monthly preventive treatment for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccine booklet are available.

Training & Support

Himari is not house-trained and will require patience and consistency in this area. Her adoptive family should be prepared to provide ongoing training and support as she adjusts to her new environment.

Transportation

Himari is currently being fostered in Matamoros, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transport to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee.
