Meet Birdie! This 3-year-old Mini Aussie mix is a pint-sized powerhouse of personality, weighing in at just 14 pounds. Birdie is bright, athletic, and incredibly attuned to her people. She was renamed from Omelette by her foster family, who are looking to rehome her as they plan to expand their family. After working with a trainer, it's clear she would do best in a home without young children, as she can feel overwhelmed in busy toddler environments and thrives in a calmer, more predictable setting.
Ideal Home
Birdie needs a home with a securely fenced yard (6 feet preferred) as she is quick and agile. She does best with structure and routine and would thrive in a calmer, predictable setting. She may do best as the only dog or with a well-matched companion, as she can be selective with other dogs and prefers slow, thoughtful introductions. A home without young children is preferred.
Ongoing Health
Birdie's adoption fee covers age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are kept up-to-date on heartworm and flea prevention.
Training & Support
Birdie is fully house trained and crate trained, and appreciates having her own quiet space. She is smart and active, so daily exercise and mental stimulation are important to keep her happy and healthy.
