Oscar is an athletic and energetic young man, estimated to be born in November 2022 and weighing around 50 lbs. He's a Blackmouth Cur mix with a zest for life and a love for playtime. Oscar arrived at his foster home after being found wandering and hungry, and he's been thriving with his foster siblings. He knows "sit" and how to politely take treats instead of jumping. While he's working on everything else, his eagerness to please and his playful spirit make him a joy to train. Oscar's favorite activities include chasing his energetic foster sister, Sheila, and being chased in return. He also enjoys a good game of fetch and is always up for some fun. When it's time to relax, Oscar loves to snuggle and receive chest scratches.

Ideal Home

Oscar would thrive in a home with an active lifestyle that can keep up with his boundless energy. He's looking for a playmate, ideally a young, mid-sized female dog who matches his enthusiasm, similar to his foster sister Sheila. Due to his high prey drive and energy, a home without cats or small dogs would be best.

Ongoing Health

Oscar is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and currently on preventatives.

Training & Support

Oscar is house-trained and crate-trained in progress. He's learning to control his excitement and is working on all other aspects of training. With consistent guidance and positive reinforcement, he'll continue to blossom.
