Bombon

Bombon is a beautiful 9-month-old German Shepherd mix, weighing approximately 33 lbs and standing about 16 inches tall. She's a little shy and cautious with new people, but once she feels comfortable, she blossoms into an incredibly affectionate and loving companion. Bombon enjoys playtime, hiking, and is always up for a cuddle. She's curious, brave, and a fast learner, already leash-trained and crate-trained. She also gets along well with children and other dogs. Bombon's journey began as a tiny pup found under bushes in Saltillo, Mexico, after a tragic loss. She was rescued and received treatment for anemia, and is now ready to find her forever home.

Ideal Home

Bombon would thrive in an active home with a fenced backyard, where she can explore and play safely. She'd do best with a family who enjoys hiking and exercise, and who has experience with rescue dogs. An understanding of the unique needs of rescued animals and a patient approach to their adjustment period is essential.

Ongoing Health

Bombon is spayed/neutered and up-to-date on her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She's been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm, with a clean 4DX test. She is on monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Bombon is crate-trained and leash-trained. While she is not yet house-trained, this is a common challenge for many rescue dogs, and we're confident that with patience and consistency, she will learn quickly. Her foster family works hard to care for all their rescued animals, but it's impossible to house-train every single one. She is an intelligent and excellent learner, so she will benefit greatly from continued positive reinforcement and guidance.

Transportation

Bombon is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. She is available for transport to the East Coast in January/February 2023. The adopter will be responsible for a $400 transport fee, paid prior to the pet's departure.
