Bellona is a 4-month-old, energetic and intelligent Pit Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix who is looking for her forever family! She's a thoughtful and independent pup with a bright spark of wisdom beyond her years. Bellona loves to play with her siblings, chase toys, and cuddle up for naps. She's observant, eager to learn, and enjoys a good challenge. Bellona is confident enough to entertain herself but also loves lots of attention and affection from her people, making her the perfect blend of playful and easygoing.
Ideal Home
Bellona would thrive in a home that can provide patience, consistency, and plenty of love. Families with young children should be prepared to reinforce polite manners and supervise interactions due to her enthusiastic greetings. Slow, supervised introductions are recommended if you have cats.
Ongoing Health
Bellona is a healthy puppy. She is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. She will receive a heartworm preventative injectable before transport.
Training & Support
Bellona is a super smart cookie and is already mastering commands like "sit," "paw," "lay down," and "stay" with ease. She is incredibly food-motivated, which makes training a joy. Bellona is doing wonderfully with potty and crate training, following a structured routine. She is learning impulse control around meal times and is making excellent progress. She is learning to understand that not all dogs want to play rough, and will benefit from continued guidance and positive reinforcement.

Transporation
Bellona is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Transport is available for an additional surcharge.
