Meet Chino! This sweet 4-year-old Maltese is searching for a calm and patient home where he can be the center of attention. Chino is still learning to trust and be affectionate, but once he feels safe, he'll be your most devoted lap dog, content to simply be by your side. He would do best with a single person or an older adult who has previous dog experience and can provide a quiet, consistent, and loving environment. Chino walks well on a leash and is very treat-motivated, especially by cheese! While he lives with other dogs, both big and small, he isn't playful with them and prefers to focus on receiving affection from his person. He's known to greet his foster dad by pawing for attention. If you have a gentle heart and an open lap, Chino might be the loyal companion you've been dreaming of.

Ideal Home

Chino would thrive in a calm, quiet home with a single person or an older adult who has prior dog experience. He needs someone patient who understands that building trust takes time. He prefers to be the only pet in the home, as he is not playful with other dogs.

Transportation

Chino is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide. Transport is available to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Drop-off locations include Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters. There is an additional surcharge of $87 for transport. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
