Troubadour "Tru"

Meet Troubadour, or "Tru" as we lovingly call him! This sweet boy is about a year old and weighs around 60 pounds. Tru is a mixed-breed with a heart of gold and a story of incredible resilience. He arrived at our rescue having experienced severe neglect, being painfully underweight and confined to a crate for much of his young life. Despite his past, Tru has never stopped loving people! He has truly blossomed into a happy, affectionate, and playful young dog. We're so proud of his fantastic progress with crate and potty training, and his overall healing. Tru's absolute favorite thing is being with his people, soaking up all the attention and forming strong bonds. With his adorable puppy face and goofy antics, he's sure to keep you smiling. Tru gets along well with most dogs, especially those his size or smaller, and prefers neutered companions. He's not a fan of much larger dogs or intact males.

Ideal Home

A home that can offer Tru the patience, stability, and love he's always deserved. He thrives with his people and enjoys canine companionship, preferring smaller or similarly sized, neutered friends.

Ongoing Health

Tru is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Tru is currently working hard on his crate and potty training and continues to make fantastic progress. He will be entering the Paws in Prison program on 6/22 for 8 weeks, where he will focus on house training, basic obedience, and potentially learning some new tricks! We hope to have a home ready for him by the time he graduates.

Transporation

Tru is located in Arkansas and is available to adopters in Arkansas. Transport is also available for New England adopters. Adopters must be able to pick up or arrange for pickup in PA, NJ, or CT on Saturdays.
