Major

Major is a handsome hound dog who is ready for a fresh start! He's a smart, energetic boy who loves the outdoors and would make an excellent hiking companion. Major is very food motivated and a quick learner. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine sibling. Major can be a bit selective with people and would do best in an adult-only home. He hasn't had the easiest life and is truly deserving of a loving new beginning. Major doesn't do well in the stressful environment of the shelter and is eager to find his forever home where he can truly thrive.

Ideal Home

Major needs a large yard with a minimum 6-foot fence to accommodate his high energy and hound instincts. He would do best with an experienced dog owner who understands the needs of high-drive working breeds and is prepared to provide ample exercise, mental stimulation, and training. Due to his high energy, he may be too much for young children. If you're looking for a quiet home, Major's loud voice might not be the best fit.
