Vi

Vi is a delightful and busy girl whose mom is a Poodle/American Eskimo Dog mix. We suspect her dad might have been a Cattle Dog, and Vi certainly exhibits many of the breed's classic traits! She loves to play and wrestle with her siblings, but a quick head rub is always welcome before she gets back to the action. Vi is a great jumper and needs to stay engaged. She plays gently with the smaller dogs in her foster home and is already a pro at using the doggie door.

Vi is a natural protector and likes to keep tabs on her surroundings. She needs to know where everyone is and can be a little hesitant about new things or anything out of place. Vi always does a thorough check of the yard before coming inside, ensuring everyone is accounted for before she follows.

Ideal Home

Vi would thrive in a home that can keep her mind and body engaged. Due to her protective nature and potential for anxiety, a foster-to-adopt or foster home would be ideal to help her continue building confidence and skills.

Ongoing Health

Vi is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. She is currently working on managing anxiety, including separation anxiety, and may benefit from continued support in this area.

Training & Support

Vi is working on her social skills and basic training. Given her Cattle Dog heritage, consistency and clear communication will be key to her success. Providing her with a predictable routine and positive reinforcement will help her feel secure and confident.
