Meet Trooper!

Trooper is a handsome 2 1/2-year-old, 60-pound dog who embodies quiet companionship. He's the type of pup who will happily follow you from room to room, curl up for a nap nearby, and simply make your day brighter with his presence. He's incredibly smart, fully housebroken, and knows commands like "stay," "come," "lay down," and "quiet." Trooper walks beautifully on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and his greatest joy is spending time with his favorite person. He has a gentle and tender heart, responding wonderfully to kindness, encouragement, and consistency. Trooper isn't a loud or demanding dog; he just wants to feel safe and loved as part of his family.

Ideal Home

Trooper thrives in a home where he can be a true companion. He experiences some separation anxiety and would do best with someone who is home often or can provide him with plenty of company.

Ongoing Health

Trooper is neutered and vaccinated, and is ready for his forever home.

Training & Support

Trooper is housebroken and kennel trained. He walks well on a leash and is calm in the car. He has done well with other dogs, ignores barking dogs on walks, and has protective instincts that are easily redirected because he listens exceptionally well.

Transportation

Trooper is currently located near Houston, TX. He is an "out of town pet" and can be transported to a location near you. Transport occurs once a month via climate-controlled vans with a team of two drivers. You will be included in a group chat to track Trooper's journey in real-time, with updates on his exact location and scheduled arrival time. Dogs on transport are crated for safety and stop for breaks.
