Buddy

Buddy is a handsome Akbash mix, around 3 years old, weighing in at 102 lbs and still filling out. He's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and up-to-date on all preventatives. Buddy is a medium-energy boy who enjoys being inside with his people and prefers not to be a livestock guardian. He did have some separation anxiety initially, but he's worked through that well and would be happiest with someone who is home a good portion of the time. He's house-trained and walks nicely on a leash.

Ideal Home

Buddy would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard. He's good with males, females, and children 12 and older, but due to his size, he might accidentally knock over smaller children. He's been good with larger dogs and has shown he can be a friend to a calm, senior cat. Buddy does get car sick on longer trips, so shorter rides are best. Please, no crates for Buddy.

Ongoing Health

Buddy is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

Buddy is house-trained and walks well on a leash. He has worked through his initial separation anxiety and prefers a home where he won't be left alone for extended periods.
