Bonnie Rose, or Rosie as we lovingly call her, is a delightful 3-year-old Aussie/Blue Heeler/Terrier mix with a beautiful beige, gray, and tan coat. She weighs in at a solid 60 lbs and has a personality that's just as vibrant as her looks – she's cutely energetic! Rosie is a social butterfly who adores her humans and is looking for a home where she can be your constant shadow. Whether it's gardening, park strolls, or car rides to the feed store, Rosie wants to be right by your side, experiencing everything with you. She's a quick learner and is already a pro at basic obedience commands, although her focus can wander when excitement strikes – just like many of us! Rosie is also a pro at crate training and is house-trained.
Ideal Home
Rosie would thrive in an inside-only home with owners who are committed to providing her with plenty of companionship and activity. She needs a fenced yard to keep her safe and a home that she can truly call her own (no rentals, please!).
Ongoing Health
Rosie is fully vetted, has tested negative for heartworm, and has been spayed.
Training & Support
Rosie knows her basic commands like come, sit, stay, down, and leave it. While she's eager to please, her enthusiasm can sometimes lead to a loss of focus. Gentle guidance and consistent reinforcement will help her maintain her composure. She enjoys the company of other pets and is good with cats and dogs, though she can be a bit enthusiastic in her interactions initially. With proper introductions, she does very well and learns to read situations and respect other animals. She loves children, but due to her exuberance, we recommend homes with older, respectful children aged 12-14 years old. She's also a bit intimidated by cats, so careful introductions are key for them to become friends. If you have another dog, she might do best paired with a calm male dog, though she can get along with some female dogs.
