Lazarus, "Russie Laz"

Meet Lazarus, also known as "Lazzie" or "Russie Laz"! This handsome 3-year-old, 50 lb. black Lab mix is a volunteer favorite. He’s a calm, gentle, and quiet boy with a stunning, shiny coat. Lazzie enjoys lounging and cuddling, whether it’s with his canine companions or his favorite people. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, currently sharing his home with a tiny chihuahua and a 70 lb. pittie. Lazzie has even had a taste of social life at a local bar adoption event, where he confidently made new friends and was incredibly sweet with everyone he met. He came to us in rough shape, suffering from mange and a respiratory infection after being found alone in harsh conditions. Thankfully, he's now healthy, strong, and as handsome as can be!

Ideal Home

Lazzie would love a home where he can continue to lounge and cuddle with his people and other dogs.

Lazzie is fully vaccinated and neutered.

Training & Support

Lazzie is kennel trained and potty trained. He is also eligible for 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training if booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off if booked within 60-90 days. He's also invited to join the "Alum Pupdates" Facebook group to share his journey.

Transportation

Lazzie is located in Houston, TX. Out-of-state transport is available. Please note that pickup locations for transported dogs may vary, potentially being across city, county, or state lines. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles, and adopters can track the van via the Life360 app and receive updates. Facebook chats are also available for transport tracking.
