Hello! My name is Chewy, and I was born on July 16, 2024. I'm a handsome, fluffy French Bulldog with stunning eyes and an even more amazing personality! My foster mom says I remind her of Chewbacca, but I think I'm much cuter. I'm dog selective, which is how I ended up in rescue, but I do love playing with my foster sister and would be thrilled to find a playful companion in my new home. I'm also very gentle and would love to have some kids to play with. I sleep soundly in my crate at night and am doing a fantastic job with potty training, heading outside to do my business, which makes my foster mom very happy. I learned to use a doggy door by watching my foster sister, and now I use it like a pro! I'm not a fan of the heat, but I'll happily enjoy a few zoomies outside before coming back in to cool off. I'm discovering how wonderful being petted is and will often lay my head in my foster mom's lap for some nice strokes. I recently had a grooming session where I was bathed, brushed, and had my nails trimmed, and I did wonderfully! Walks are a joy, and I especially love riding on a golf cart. I encountered a cat the other day and was curious but decided not to bother it. I also travel well in the car. My foster mom calls me "goofy," which I assume is a good thing since it makes my foster parents laugh and give me hugs! I'm having a blast learning to play with toys, and I love following my foster mom around, often resting beside her while she works on the computer. I also act as a watchful guardian to ensure no one bothers her! Sometimes I get a little confused because I thought my name was Chewy, but my foster parents often call me "Awesome," which I also answer to! My adoption fee is $350. I am vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.
Ideal Home
I would love a home with a playful canine companion, as I am dog selective. I also adore children and would be happy to have some kids to romp and play with. I'm not a fan of the heat, so a home where I can easily come inside to cool down after outdoor play would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
I am up-to-date on all vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped.
Training & Support
I am mastering potty training and use a doggy door. I am learning to enjoy toys and am quickly becoming a pro at playing with them. I'm also discovering the joys of being petted and seek out affection. I walk well on a leash and enjoy car rides.
