Meet Dorkie, a charming black dapple-ish pup with a unique blend of Dachshund and Yorkie charm! Born around October 20, 2025, this little lady currently weighs 5.6 lbs, and her adult weight is a delightful mystery. Dorkie is a special girl, a result of an "oops" litter from a breeder. Her mom was a purebred short-haired mini Dachshund, and her dad was a Yorkie. She has the classic long back and short legs of a Dachshund, with the scruffy fur of a Yorkie. Dorkie was a bit shy when she first arrived but is quickly blossoming into a snuggly sweetheart. She adores other dogs and gets along wonderfully with cats and children, though we do ask for homes with kids no younger than 12 due to her small size.

Ideal Home

Dorkie would thrive in a home that can offer gentle companionship and a loving environment. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children over 12 years old. Please ensure any upcoming vacations are completed before applying to adopt.

Ongoing Health

Dorkie has received her spay surgery, and is up-to-date on Parvo/Distemper and Rabies vaccinations. She is also microchipped and has a negative fecal test. All of her vet paperwork will go home with her.

Training & Support

Dorkie is not yet house-trained, so her new family will need to be committed to working on this.
