Forest

Forest is a sweet girl who has experienced a lot of change recently. She was found as a stray, stayed in a foster home for a month, and then came to our shelter. It must feel like double the loss for her, and we can see the sadness radiating from her. Despite her past, Forest is a joy. She loves to play fetch and can also cuddle up with her favorite toy. She is looking for a stable and loving home where she can finally feel secure.

Ongoing Health

Forest has been spayed/neutered and vaccinated, as are all dogs at our shelter before adoption.

Training & Support

Forest is not yet house-trained. We recommend slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions with any resident dogs after they have had time to decompress.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• All household members should be present to meet dogs.
• We can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s). Proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s) is required.

Transportation

Forest is currently at Chicago Animal Care and Control located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. Walk-in visitors are welcome daily from 12 pm to 7 pm. If you plan to adopt the same day, please arrive before 5:30 pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30 pm can still view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7 pm.
