Nelson - The Mannerly Pooch

Meet Nelson, a handsome Lab mix who is 1-2 years old and is the sweetest, most polite boy you could ever hope to meet. He's fully potty trained and is currently working on crate training. Nelson walks beautifully on a leash, is wonderfully well-mannered (he doesn't jump on you when you come home), and absolutely loves other dogs. He is non-reactive and easygoing, happiest when he's by your side. Whether it's on a quiet walk, a weekend adventure (he's great in the car!), or simply relaxing at home, Nelson is content as long as he's with you. He prefers sleeping in bed with his foster and sleeps through the night without any problems.

What makes Nelson even more special is how far he's come. Not long ago, Nelson was abandoned and left to survive on the streets of Puerto Rico. Despite everything he's been through, he has never stopped believing in people. Instead of fear, he chose love. Instead of giving up, he embraced every chance at a better life. Now he's discovering what it means to be safe, cared for, and cherished—and he's ready for the one thing he's still waiting for: a family to call his own. Nelson deserves a home where he'll never again wonder if he's loved. He deserves someone who will see the incredible, loyal, gentle soul that he is and promise to love him forever.
