Journey

Journey is a handsome, three-and-a-half-year-old neutered male husky with striking black and white markings. He weighs between 45-50 lbs and was born on August 17, 2022. Journey's story is as adventurous as his breed suggests; he was famously rescued by kayakers during a hurricane in Houston, only to swim to shore himself before being safely caught on land. That was a year and a half ago, and since then, he's discovered the joys of a stable, loving home. He gets along well with most medium to large male and female dogs, though he has a noted dislike for one particular red husky.

Ideal Home

Journey would thrive in a home with school-aged children, a couple, or a single person who will include him in their daily life and adventures. He would not do well in an apartment setting and needs a fenced yard to run and play. He loves the water and enjoys car rides.

Ongoing Health

Journey is up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative, on monthly preventatives, microchipped, and neutered.

Training & Support

He knows his basic commands but is not yet trained for off-leash activity.
