Checkers

Checkers is a handsome 1 to 2 year old Shih Tzu weighing 13.4 pounds who is ready to leave his past behind and find the loving family he deserves. When Checkers was found as a stray, he was severely matted and covered in thorns. It is hard to imagine what this sweet little guy had been through, but despite everything, he has remained incredibly loving and trusting. After getting cleaned up, groomed, and receiving the care he needed, Checkers has blossomed into a happy, playful boy who enjoys every bit of attention he can get.

Ideal Home

Checkers would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of attention. He does well with other dogs and children.

Checkers is neutered, fully vaccinated, and 4DX negative.

Checkers is potty trained and eager to please.

• The adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter if over 3 months of age, rabies, bordetella, DHPP, microchip, and transport.

Transporation

Checkers is currently located in McAllen, TX. He can be transported to the East Coast, mainly serving NJ, NY, PA, CT, RI, VT, and NH. Drop-off locations can be provided. There are no meet-and-greets.
