About Thunder The Zesty Bestie

Meet Thunder! He's a 10-month-old, 40-pound bundle of zest who we suspect might be a Pit Bull or Lab Retriever mix. This adorable pup is considered at-risk due to overcrowded shelters, and by choosing him, you're not only saving his life but also opening up space for another dog in need. Thunder is playful, sweet, curious, and incredibly cuddly. He's a social butterfly who loves everyone he meets, thrives on companionship, and is a pro at fetch. He even gets along wonderfully with the cats in his foster home! Thunder knows "sit" and "wait," is crate trained, and potty trained, making him a true joy.

Ideal Home

Thunder would love a home with outdoor space where he can play, explore, and soak up the sun.

Ongoing Health

Thunder is up-to-date on all his vetting, which includes vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm preventatives, and he is microchipped.

Training & Support

Thunder is a young pup and will need a committed family ready for continued training and socialization. Consistent routine, structure, boundaries, and positive social experiences are key to raising a confident, well-rounded adult dog. We require adopters to continue crate training upon arrival home to support potty training, energy management, and long-term success.

Thunder is located in Texas, and our rescue provides USDA-certified transport nationwide, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. There is an $87 surcharge for transport. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
