Hodong is a handsome 6.5-year-old Jindo mix weighing about 44 lbs. He's a calm, gentle boy with a kind heart who loves people and enjoys peaceful walks. Hodong was rescued with his brother from an elderly owner who kept them confined and intended to sell them to the dog meat trade. Thankfully, they were rescued and now have the chance to find loving forever homes.
Ideal Home
Hodong would do best as an only dog or with another calm, respectful canine companion. He's not interested in rough or overly energetic play and does not appreciate dogs that jump on or mount him. He prefers a gentle, patient approach from people. We typically do not adopt to homes with children under 8 years old.
Ongoing Health
Hodong is neutered, healthy, and has a good appetite. He occasionally marks outdoors.
Training & Support
Hodong is fully house-trained for outdoor potty breaks and walks well on a leash. He accepts baths and nail trims without difficulty. He has minimal separation anxiety. Because many of our rescue dogs had little socialization before entering our program, skills like house training, leash walking, and adjusting to family life may take extra time. Patience, understanding, and gentle guidance are essential.
