Meet Hope, a resilient and loving 4-5-year-old, 60lb sweetheart who was rescued from South Carolina. Hope's story is one of survival; she was sadly abandoned by her previous family and left chained outside, facing starvation and dehydration. Despite her difficult past, she maintained a strong spirit and fought to survive. After her rescue last year, Hope has been on a remarkable journey of healing, both physically and emotionally.
Hope is a free spirit who adores attention and craves companionship. While she may be timid or fearful initially, with patience and kindness, she blossoms into a fiercely loyal and loving friend. Once she feels comfortable, her true affectionate nature shines through. She gets along well with other easy-going and friendly dogs. However, Hope shows a bit too much interest in cats, so she would be happiest as the only pet in the home, with opportunities to socialize with other dogs outside her living space.
Hope is currently residing in South Carolina and is eagerly awaiting a foster or adoptive family to welcome her up north. She is not just surviving anymore; she is ready to thrive. She dreams of a home that understands her past, celebrates her strength, and offers the patient, understanding, and peaceful life she truly deserves.
