About Sandy Sweet Babygirl

Meet Sandy! This one-year-old Lab/Pit Bull mix is as sweet as her name suggests, with a beautiful silvery coat, a happy smile, and a heart full of devotion. Sandy is a true family dog who thrives on being involved in every aspect of household life. She adores children and is known to follow them around, join in playtime, and happily accept treats. Sandy loves toys of all kinds, enjoys playing fetch, and her morning zoomies are a delightful sight. She's also a great crate companion and a good traveler, though her favorite place is always by her family's side. Sandy gets along well with other dogs, showing a particular fondness for smaller canine friends, and has even coexisted peacefully with chickens.

Ideal Home

Sandy would do best in a home where her adopter understands that not all dogs express affection in the same way. She thrives in a busy household where she can quietly observe and participate without feeling pressured. A home with a yard would be ideal, providing her space to play and explore. While she adores children, she is also capable of forming strong bonds with adults.

Ongoing Health

Sandy is current on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also been tested for heartworm.

Training & Support

Sandy is a sensitive soul who can sometimes feel overwhelmed by excessive attention. She appreciates relationships that develop at her own pace and may be unsure of new people or direct attention initially. She would benefit from an adopter who can read her body language, respect her boundaries, and help her continue building confidence. Her foster family has worked on crate training, potty training, and leash walking, and she has participated in group training and socialization playgroups.
