This cutie is Thunder! He is approximately 10 months old and weighs about 40 pounds. We believe he may be a mix of Pit Bull and Labrador Retriever, but with rescue, it's always a fun surprise! What's most important is that he's absolutely adorable and a pup in great need. Thunder is playful, sweet, curious, and incredibly cuddly. He's a true social butterfly who loves everyone he meets and thrives on companionship. He is excellent at fetch and would happily play until it's time to curl up for snuggles. Thunder lives with three cats and does wonderfully with them. He knows "sit" and "wait," is crate trained, and potty trained, and has been a joy in his foster home. He would love a home with outdoor space where he can play, explore, and soak up the sun during his favorite sunbathing sessions.

Ongoing Health
Thunder is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also tested negative for heartworm.
Training & Support
Thunder knows "sit" and "wait," is crate trained, and potty trained. He is still young and will need a family committed to continued training, socialization, and the time and patience puppyhood requires. Consistent routine, structure, boundaries, and positive social experiences are key to raising a confident, well-rounded adult dog. We do require adopters to continue crate training upon arrival home, as it supports potty training, energy management, and long-term success.

Transporation
Thunder is located in the Houston area, Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick up is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A surcharge of $87 applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
