Diggie Doodlebug is an approximately 4-year-old Shih Tzu mix who looks like a miniature Chewbacca with tiny paws and a button nose. When groomed, he's adorable, but his scruffy grey coat makes him a true rescue muppet! Diggie is a playful, lovable, and extremely smart dog with a lot of personality once he feels comfortable. He bonds deeply with his people, loves toys, and enjoys digging through dog beds. He especially loves children and would thrive in a home with them. He has also successfully lived with cats and can do well with calm, easygoing dogs after slow introductions. While Diggie can be sensitive to new environments and people, he remains soft-tempered and never reacts roughly. Once he trusts you, he can handle a busy lifestyle and enjoys going places.

Diggie would truly thrive in a home with children. He can also do well with calm, easygoing dogs after slow introductions and has lived with cats successfully. A home with a secure yard would be beneficial as he is still gaining confidence with leash walking.

For Canadian adopters, pick-up is available in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
