Meet Michelle! This sweet 3-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix weighs in at about 48 pounds and is a friendly, affectionate, and social girl who loves to play and nap with her canine friends. She was rescued from euthanasia at a high-kill shelter and is now thriving in a foster home, eagerly awaiting her forever family. Michelle has met children ages 8 and up and was very sweet and loving with them. She is fully housebroken, crate trained, and learns quickly, especially when motivated by food! Michelle loves to be close to her people, often plopping her upper body onto a lap for cuddles and attention. She's a quirky, lovable girl who will bring joy, laughs, and plenty of affection to her future home.
Ideal Home
Michelle would thrive in a home with another friendly dog. Due to her enthusiastic jumping when excited, we recommend a home with children 12+ or dog-savvy younger teens. She also needs a secure yard or consistent leash walks as she is an escape artist and can scale fences.
Ongoing Health
Michelle is a healthy 3-year-old spayed female.
Training & Support
Michelle is a quick learner and food-motivated, but she is still working on her manners. She can be a little sneaky around food and needs to be fed separately. Continued leash training and structure will help her improve her pulling on the leash. Supervision and crate time when unsupervised are important due to her love for chewing, especially on things found outside.
