Addie is a beautiful, 4.5-year-old, spayed female pitbull terrier mix who weighs around 45 pounds. She was rescued from a rough neighborhood and had a tough start to life, suffering from mange and being underweight. Despite her past, Addie is a resilient survivor with a heart full of love to give. She's a willing and promising pupil, eager to learn what it means to be a cherished house dog and is enjoying her second chance at happiness. Addie is crate trained and sleeps well in her kennel, and has also been trusted to sleep loose without issue. She's still working on her house training and may have occasional accidents as she adjusts to her new routine.
Ideal Home
Addie would thrive in a home with a yard where she can roam and run. She'd love a male dog sibling of similar size (40-60 lbs) to cuddle with and sleep beside. She enjoys a good 20-30 minute walk twice a day and would love access to plenty of couches to lounge on as she embraces her "Soft Life Era." While she can be timid at first, she warms up with trust and is looking for a home where she can receive all the love and affection she missed out on. Homes with children should have kids who are old enough to understand and respect animal cues, and supervised interactions are always recommended.
Ongoing Health
Addie is a healthy girl who has recovered from her previous mange. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Addie is generally well-behaved but is still perfecting her house training and may have occasional accidents. She is a very food-motivated dog and will try to eat other pets' food, so it's recommended to feed her separately. She is learning that she will receive consistent meals and is improving with this. When interacting with other dogs, she prefers male dogs of equal or larger size and has not yet found a female dog friend she enjoys playing with.
