Athena, a 1-year-old Terrier mix, is a playful, curious, and affectionate young dog with a big personality. She was found with her siblings in the woods, likely abandoned, and is now looking for a loving home where she can continue to learn and grow. Athena is energetic and eager to please, and she absolutely loves playing with other dogs. She's still in a chewing phase and working on her puppy behaviors, but with consistent guidance and plenty of appropriate chew toys, she'll blossom into a wonderful companion.
Ideal Home
Athena would thrive in an active home that can provide daily exercise, mental enrichment, and continued training and socialization. She'd love a home with a playful canine companion, as she enjoys social interaction and is learning to read cues from other dogs. While she hasn't been tested with cats, a home without cats may be ideal due to her strong play drive.
Ongoing Health
Athena is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She is a young, healthy dog with no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Athena knows several basic commands, including sit, down, drop it, and come. She is eager to learn and will continue to excel with positive reinforcement training. She is still working through normal puppy behaviors like chewing and learning social boundaries with other dogs, which will require patience and consistency.
