Some dogs have a way of making everyone smile, and Cha-Cha is definitely one of them! This happy-go-lucky boy is about 12 months old and has been patiently waiting for his forever family since mid-May. Around the shelter, he's affectionately known as "Chachi," and one look at his joyful face will tell you exactly why everyone falls for him so quickly.
One of Cha-Cha's most endearing features is his adorable smile; when he's happy, his little bottom teeth peek out, creating a sight that never fails to bring a smile to our faces. Volunteer dog trainer Alyssa perfectly captured his essence, saying, "If pure joy had four paws, it would be Cha-Cha." This affectionate pup is brimming with puppy enthusiasm. He absolutely adores other dogs, lives for zoomies, and is convinced that every person he meets is his new best friend.
Cha-Cha is already demonstrating how smart he is for such a young dog. He knows "sit" and is learning "wait" and "look" like a champion. He has a special bond with Emma, one of our resident helper dogs, who has kindly taken on a motherly role, gently correcting his puppy antics and teaching him good manners. Cha-Cha readily accepts her guidance, which makes us believe he would truly thrive in a home with another well-mannered dog, provided slow and thoughtful introductions are made. While Cha-Cha hasn't shown much interest in cats at the shelter, slow introductions are always recommended when bringing any new pet into the home to ensure a smooth adjustment for everyone.
Ideal Home
Cha-Cha would thrive in a home that can match his joyful energy and provide him with opportunities for play and affection. He would likely do best in a home with another well-mannered dog after slow introductions.
Ongoing Health
Cha-Cha is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He is ready to go to his new home with no specific health concerns.
Training & Support
Cha-Cha is already learning basic commands like "sit" and is working on "wait" and "look." He benefits from gentle guidance and would likely do well with continued positive reinforcement training.
