Meet Roux

At just about 4 months old, Roux is already working hard to become the very best boy he can be. This adorable cattle dog mix has the cutest ears that stand straight up-always ready to listen, learn, and take in the world around him.

Roux's story started off a little uncertain. He was found all alone in a park in Philadelphia, doing his best to navigate a big, overwhelming world by himself. Thankfully, a kind person scooped him up and brought him to safety, and he's been on a journey of growth ever since.

Understandably, Roux was a bit scared when he first arrived at the shelter, showing some fear-based reactivity. But once he settled into a foster home, his true personality began to shine. With patience, structure, and support, Roux is learning that the world isn't so scary after all. He's currently working with a trainer to build confidence and develop his "good boy" skills-and he's making great progress every day.

Roux absolutely LOVES other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a confident canine companion. He's also very food motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. Most of all, Roux forms strong bonds with his people and is looking for someone who will continue to guide him as he grows.

Roux is searching for a dedicated, patient home that understands he's still learning and is ready to continue his training journey. In return, he promises a lifetime of loyalty, love, and those irresistibly perky ears.
