Meet Quirk, a tiny guy who loves big! His favorite place in the world is wherever you are, whether he's curled up in your lap, snoozing in a bed beside your desk, or "helping with your chores." He simply wants to be close to his people. His favorite things are wonderfully simple: morning cuddles, snacks & treats, squeaky toys, wrestling with his foster sister, napping while you work, backyard sunsets, and curling up for couch snuggles before bed. He proudly collects every squeaky toy like a little treasure, hoarding them all in his crate. And when he's especially excited, he bounces through the yard with deer-like zoomies that are impossible to resist.
Ideal Home
Quirk would thrive in a calm, predictable home with another easy-going small dog who enjoys having a companion. He would do best with a single person or couple who is home much of the time and understands that trust is something earned, not rushed. Homes with lots of loud activity, young children, or large dogs are unlikely to be the best fit.
Ongoing Health
Adoption fee includes Spay/Neuter, Rabies Vaccination, Distemper/Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies), Bordetella, Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration, and Deworming.
Training & Support
New people, dogs, and situations can feel overwhelming for Quirk. Around new people, he tends to shut down and become very submissive. When meeting unfamiliar dogs, he'll often bark, growl, and put on a tough-guy act while he figures out whether he's safe. With slow introductions, patience, and a little time, those walls come down, his confidence grows, and before long he's looking for a new best friend to wrestle and play with. It may take Quirk a little while to feel completely safe, but once he does, you'll discover a dog who loves with his whole heart, gives endless kisses, makes you laugh every day, and becomes the most loyal best friend you could ever ask for.
