Meet Bonbon! This adorable 2-year-old Poodle-Chihuahua mix weighs about 13 pounds and has a personality as big as his loyalty! Bonbon can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but give him a moment to warm up, and his sweet, affectionate nature will blossom. He enjoys letting his people know when someone new is around, which is just his way of being a good protector. Bonbon is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with cats, other dogs, and people of all ages. He was found wandering the streets, but despite his rough start, his loving spirit remained intact. Now, Bonbon is safe and sound, eagerly awaiting a family who can offer him the stability and love he truly deserves. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will always be thrilled to see you and stay close by your side, Bonbon might just be your perfect match!
Ideal Home
Bonbon would thrive in a home with a securely fenced backyard where he can safely explore and play. An active family that enjoys outdoor adventures would be ideal for this energetic pup. He needs a family with an open mind about the unique needs and behaviors of rescued street animals, and who understands their need for protection and education. Ideally, his new family will have experience with dog behavior and training, and possess high tolerance and patience for a rescued pup.
Ongoing Health
Bonbon has received a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, a negative heartworm test, and a health certificate. He also comes with a vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Bonbon is not yet house-trained. The rescue is unable to house-train every foster due to the number of animals they care for. They have invested significant time and resources into rehabilitating their rescued pets' health, emotions, and general well-being.

- Following application review, a phone/email interview will be scheduled with all household members.
- A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted to ensure your home is a suitable fit.
- A virtual meet-and-greet will be arranged to allow you to meet Bonbon and for us to visually assess your home environment and meet all family members.
- If it's a good fit, you'll receive an adoption contract and a trial adoption period, with ongoing communication with the rescue being imperative.
Transportation
Bonbon is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest if adopted. A transport fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, covers the service provided by a transport company.
