REX, a.k.a Rexie the Bestie, a volunteer FAV

Rex is a tall, dark, and handsome Black Lab mix with an estimated birthday in September 2020, weighing in at 68lbs. He's a bubbly, outgoing guy who loves to run, play, sit for treats, and most of all, spend time with his people. Rex is a certified snuggler who thinks he's a lap dog, despite his nearly 70lb frame. He's an absolute favorite among our volunteers, who adore his guaranteed kisses and how easily he fits into their laps. Rex was rescued as a stray and has had a difficult start, but he's now ready to share his abundant love with his forever family. He's done wonderfully at adoption events, including a lively Astro's watch party and even accompanying volunteers to a dog-friendly restaurant, where he was patient and enjoyed people-watching.

Rex is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

Training & Support

Rex is kennel and potty trained. He is dog selective and friendly with proper introductions, preferring female dogs.

Transportation

Rex is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included and may vary in pickup locations, potentially to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. Adopters can track their dog's journey via the Life360 app and will receive updates.
