Tucker Teddy is a handsome, approximately 1-year-old lab mix who currently weighs 58 lbs and may grow a little more. He has the most adorable "angel baby" eyes, a sweet puppy face, and a cute little bubble lip he does sometimes. Tucker has a wonderful, balanced personality when it comes to affection. He's not overly demanding but enjoys leaning in for pets, curling up beside you, and quietly following you from room to room, checking in throughout the day to show he cares. He brings a comforting, calm presence, happy to be a part of your life without needing to be the center of attention. Tucker is a rescue, so his exact breed and age are a mystery.
Ideal Home
Tucker would thrive in a home with a backyard where he can safely play and explore. He would do best in a calm environment with gentle children who understand how to interact with a dog who may be a little cautious with fast, loud movements. He would also benefit from a home with another confident, playful dog who enjoys similar play styles, as this will help him continue to build his confidence.

Training & Support
Tucker is still gaining confidence and learning about the world. While he's not shut down, he can be a little hesitant in new situations, like with the vacuum cleaner. Having another confident dog in the home will greatly assist in his ongoing confidence building. He has a good foundation, and with continued gentle exposure and positive reinforcement, he will blossom into an incredible, loyal companion.

Tucker is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track your pet's journey in real-time. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
