Mabel is a 2.5 year old, 64-pound pit bull mix who is spayed and vaccinated. She was found abandoned and frightened but has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely adores people. Mabel's favorite pastimes include snuggling, showering her humans with kisses, going for car rides, and being the center of attention. She is happy and outgoing, making new people and children her instant best friends. Mabel has shown remarkable gentleness and patience with the foster family's autistic son, happily cuddling and playing with him.
Ideal Home
Mabel would thrive in a home filled with love and cuddles. She would likely do best with a playful, tolerant dog companion her size or larger, or as the only pet in the household. She would likely do best in a home without cats. Mabel prefers not to be crated and enjoys sleeping snuggled with her people.
Ongoing Health
Mabel appreciates a little extra patience and support during vet visits and procedures to help her feel safe.
Training & Support
Mabel is still learning to recognize when playtime with other dogs is over, as she can get a bit overexcited. She is making good progress with her leash manners but may pull to greet other dogs on walks.

- We are a volunteer-run rescue and dedicate our time to these dogs. If you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply.

Transportation
Mabel is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. Once matched with an approved adopter, she is ready to be transported out of state to her forever home on our next available transport.
