Hansel is a sweet, gentle Black Mouth Curr mix, weighing 46lbs with an estimated birthday of 4/28/2025. He might be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he warms up, his wonderful personality truly shines. Hansel enjoys doing his own thing, quietly exploring the world around him and taking everything in at his own pace. While he has a calm and independent side, he also has playful moments and enjoys getting energetic, especially when playing with other dogs. So far, he has only been introduced to female dogs and has done well with them. At a recent adoption event, he was a superstar making new friends, both two-legged and four-legged, and he especially loves kids! Hansel is kennel trained and loves having soft blankets and pillows to curl up with after a day of adventures. He's also a fan of chew toys and happily keeps himself entertained. Bath time is no problem for this handsome guy; he handles it like a champ!

Transportation
Hansel is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and we coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport. Please note, pickup locations of transported dogs may vary, including to nearby towns or states.
