About Flora

Meet Flora! Flora's story began on a rooftop in Jarretaderas, where she was abandoned with two other dogs. Thankfully, a Nayarit animal welfare officer helped us reach them, and she's been with us since June 2022. Flora is beautiful, smart, and full of energy, but she's not the right match for just anyone. She's a high-drive girl who thrives with structure, space, and an experienced owner who can guide her. She does well with most dogs but prefers to be the alpha, and the busy shelter environment overstimulates her. She is great on the leash, incredibly intelligent, and would flourish with training and a confident leader. Flora is loyal, loving, and ready for the right person, someone who sees her potential and is committed to helping her shine. Serious applicants only.

Ideal Home

Flora needs a home with a fenced yard or large property; she is not suited for condos or apartments. She would do best with an experienced adopter who can provide her with the structure and guidance she needs.

Ongoing Health

Flora is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations.

Training & Support

Flora is intelligent and would benefit from continued training. She thrives with structure and a confident leader.

Transportation

Flora is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We adopt dogs to the US and Canada. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home. During the summer months, if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable, dogs may fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border.
