Meet Philip, a 50-pound Staffy mix who is a master of flinging plushie toys with incredible flair! Philip lives for playtime, and his love for toys is only matched by his love for snuggles, especially after a successful bath time.
Philip can be a bit shy initially, but this big-hearted pup is building confidence and finding his voice. His leash manners are improving, and while he might playfully try to lead the walk, he quickly gets back on track with a little patience and guidance.
Philip has a knack for making friends and gets along well with other dogs, both big and small, and has charmed pups of all sizes. He is good with men and women, but he is still learning that raised hands are for pets, not threats, due to some past experiences.
This energetic boy has a moderate to high energy level, meaning he enjoys his exercise and mental stimulation. Daily walks and puzzle toys will keep his sharp mind engaged. Philip is crate-trained, doesn't dig, and loves his chew toys, so supervised play is recommended.
Philip knows how to sit, and while his enthusiasm can sometimes get the best of him when treats are involved, he is making great progress. He needs a home that understands he is a work in progress and is ready to be his most loyal sidekick.
Ideal Home
Philip is looking for a home that will give him the space to grow into a confident and happy dog. Homes with children 10 years and older are recommended to ensure the best fit for both Philip and the family.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions or procedures were mentioned in the description.
Training & Support
Philip is still working on building confidence, leash manners, and impulse control around treats. He needs a patient and understanding owner who can continue his training and socialization. Supervised play is a must due to his love for chew toys.
