Dewey

Dewey is a charming 4-year-old mixed breed boy, weighing in at 9 pounds, who is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He's a sweet cuddlebug who loves to soak up the sun and get belly rubs. Dewey came to us from a Sacramento shelter and is looking for a loving home to call his own. While he enjoys human companionship, he's a bit more independent when it comes to other dogs. He is housebroken and comfortable in his crate. Dewey isn't a big barker and would thrive in a home that understands his need for continued confidence-building. Dewey would do best in a home without young children, but dog-savvy older children would be perfectly fine.

Dewey is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Dewey has some food-guarding behaviors, and while we are actively working on this with him, he is currently fed separately. He had a bite incident in a previous foster home, but has had no issues in his current placement. He would benefit from a home that can continue helping him build confidence.
