Krockett

Krockett is a joyful and loving male Labrador mix who is about 1 year old and weighs around 55 lbs. He was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. Krockett is known for his happy, smiling demeanor, and his loyalty, politeness, and intelligence. He’s a playful and active boy who would thrive in a home that enjoys outdoor adventures. He is already crate and leash trained, and he’s a great passenger on car rides!

Ideal Home

Krockett would do best in a home with a fenced backyard, owned by an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. His new family should have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals, be experienced in dog behavior and training, and possess a high level of patience and tolerance for rescued puppies.

Ongoing Health

Krockett has received a full health workup including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, a negative heartworm test, and a health certificate with a vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

While Krockett is crate and leash trained, he is not yet house-trained. His rescue team emphasizes that it's challenging to house-train every animal in their care due to the sheer number of pets needing rehabilitation. They recommend continued training and patience.

• A phone/email interview will be scheduled if your application is approved or if further questions arise.
• A home check will be conducted, either virtually or in person.
• A virtual meet-and-greet will be arranged to allow you to meet Krockett and for the team to visually assess your home and family.
• A trial adoption period may be implemented with specific instructions for integration and ongoing communication with the ADAC team.

Transportation

Krockett is currently fostered in Houston, Texas, and is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest. A transport fee of $250.00, paid by the adopter, will be required prior to the pet's departure.
