Minnie

Minnie is a super-fun, energetic girl who is just over one year old and weighs 28 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and a playful spirit that will steal your heart! Minnie came to us labeled as a Border Collie, but her foster mom thinks she might be a Jack Russell Terrier mixed with a retriever. Whatever her mix, she's a fantastic companion!

Ideal Home

Minnie would thrive in a home with another playful dog, as she loves to have canine friends to romp with. A securely fenced-in yard is a must for her to safely explore and burn off energy. While Minnie warms up quickly and offers sweet trust, she can be a bit timid with fast movements, so a stable and calm home environment where she feels safe is important. She would likely do well with respectful children over five years old.

Minnie is a healthy girl with no known ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

Minnie is a very smart girl who is motivated by treats and eager to please! She's learned quickly in her foster home. However, she does tend to bark and lunge at things while on leash, so she'll need a patient and dedicated person to work on leash manners in quieter areas like the woods. She enjoys chewing, so providing her with a variety of sturdy chew toys will keep her happily occupied.
