Monty JuM*

Monty is a handsome boy with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in his soft fur. He has a goofy and sweet personality, often described as having Monty Python-esque humor! Found as a stray two years ago, Monty was adopted as a pup but unfortunately, developed some territorial behaviors. He became the "boss" of the house and was uncomfortable with unfamiliar visitors. Because of this, he was returned to the rescue, who are committed to finding him the right home. Monty has since adjusted well to the rescue environment and has shown great improvement with new people and positive reinforcement.

Monty needs a patient and confident adopter who can provide consistent leadership. He thrives when he knows who is in charge, allowing him to relax and feel secure. His ideal home will understand his need for a safe space and allow him to adjust at his own pace.

Training & Support

Monty can be vocal in his crate, so it's recommended to place his crate in a quieter area of the home, away from high-traffic zones. This will help him feel more relaxed and less anxious about visitors. Once settled, he will follow his adopter's lead and is eager to please. He is fantastic when meeting new people and other dogs while out and about!
