Meet Lyla, a 2-year-old, 41lb cream Labrador mix with a heart full of love to give! This sweet girl is incredibly affectionate and happiest when she's by your side, whether that's for cuddles on the couch or just following you around the house. Lyla forms strong bonds and will be your most loyal shadow once she settles in. She was initially a bit scared, but after over a year in her foster home, she's learned to thrive with patience and understanding. Lyla is wonderful with children, displaying gentleness and patience, making her an ideal family companion. She also gets along beautifully with other dogs and enjoys their company. While she hasn't lived with cats, she shows little to no interest when she sees them outside. Lyla is house-trained and crate-trained, and she's an easy, loving presence who just wants to be part of your daily life.

Ideal Home

Lyla's perfect home is one where she can be close to her people, feel safe, and be showered with the love she so freely gives. She needs a home with a yard and cannot live in an apartment.

Ongoing Health

Lyla is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She could stand to lose about 5lbs.

Training & Support

Lyla is house-trained and crate-trained. She is not destructive when supervised or crated. She is not a barker, food aggressive (though she is fed separately), or a flight risk, but all dogs should be considered a flight risk initially. She walks well on a leash and rides well in the car.
